Ranchi, August 26, 2026: For a group of NCC cadets from Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), Mesra, a recent educational field visit became an opportunity to move beyond classroom learning and experience the world of military aviation from close quarters. The NCC Unit of BIT Mesra organised a visit to the Army Recce and Observation (R&O) Flight of the Army Aviation Corps in Ranchi, giving the cadets first-hand exposure to the functioning, responsibilities and operational significance of Army Aviation.
The visit was designed to help the students understand how aviation assets support military operations and how technology, communication, surveillance and coordination come together in a highly disciplined operational environment.
