Ranchi, August 20, 2026: Birla Institute of Technology (BIT) Mesra has marked a significant milestone in drone technology education by launching Jharkhand’s first DGCA-approved Drone Pilot Certificate course at its University Polytechnic, BIT Mesra. The institute has received approval from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Government of India, to operate as a Remote Pilot Training Organisation (RPTO), opening a new avenue for students, professionals and aspiring drone pilots in the state.
